Goderich District Collegiate Institute (Goderich)

Introduction

Goderich District Collegiate Institute is located on the shores of Lake Huron in the town of Goderich, considered Canada’s Prettiest Town. At GDCI, students have many opportunities to excel both inside and outside the classroom. Along with a full range of educational and academic programs there are a variety of specialist and optional courses for students to explore. This school has an enrollment of 350 secondary students and 150 elementary students. Although we are small we are big in spirit!

In the high school sports scene, the GDCI Vikings are full of spirit and offer competitive teams in most of the major sports. Beyond athletics students can join one of many clubs. Clubs adapt and change based on student interest and voice. Some clubs we currently run are the school newspaper, book club, OSAID, PRISM, and Jack Chapter. GDCI also offers Specialist High Skills Majors in Environment, Construction and Hospitality & Tourism.
